Costa Rica Arabica - from the plantation to roasting plant!
Costa Rican Arabica coffee beans grow on plantations in the central plateau near the capital city of San Jose. Their approximate height above sea level is 1500-2000m. Volcanic soil, tropical climate, harmonious combination of precipitation and solar heat - this is the secret of the unique taste of this type of coffee. Bright and even "burning" the taste of Costa Rican Arabica is known and loved by experienced coffee connoisseurs in all the capitals of the world.

The agricultural conditions described above provide the following characteristics of Costa Rican Arabica coffee:

  • Volcanic soil and height above sea level ensures high acidity, "burning", "fiery".
  • These same factors affect the hardness of coffee beans. And it, in turn, allows the grains to withstand a higher roasting temperature, without collapsing and without losing their taste and aromatic qualities.
  • Costa Rican Arabica is collected in 5-6 approaches. All berries are of the same ripeness, which after processing ensures the uniformity of coffee beans.
  • Despite the rich, aggressive taste, this variety is characterized by a reduced caffeine content.
  • So, as you have already understood, it is the features described in the previous section that form the unique and unforgettable taste of Arabica from Costa Rica. Of course, it is better to try it once than to describe it 100 times, but we will try to share with you the sensations of tasting this coffee.

The long aftertaste will delight you with hints of black tea, lemon and citrus.  

Using this Costa Rican Arabica in its pure form, as a single orogin is the choice of real coffee fans who are looking for novelty and appreciate the uniqueness of this variety. But, apart from that, Arabica Costa Rica perfectly fits in blends, if its complementary varieties are selected correctly.

This variety is characterized by high extractability, it is easily opened when brewing in almost any way: in a Turkish pot, a French press or in a coffee pot. Naturally, modern espresso machines and coffee makers will prepare a real masterpiece from Costa Rican Arabica beans.

When brewing, the infusion is thick, rich and invigorating. This Arabica is a wonderful "morning" coffee, it is a pleasure to start the working day with it.
